    David J. McIntyre, Ph.D., ABPP, a board-certified clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience. He is a retired military veteran, having provided 30 years of service to the United States. He served as an Officer in the U.S. Army Reserve from July 1984 until July 1991. He then transferred to the U.S. Air Force and served as an active-duty Clinical Psychologist, where he provided services to active-duty airmen and their families and led Behavioral Health deployment teams. In 1995, Dr. McIntyre transferred to active duty status with the United States Public Health Service (USPHS), where he served until his retirement in 2015.

    During his USPHS career, Dr. McIntyre worked with the Indian Health Service, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and the Division of Immigration Health Services. He led behavioral health response teams responding to national and international disasters including the Indonesian Tsunami, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Ivan, the Sandy Hook School Shooting, and suicide cluster responses on Native American reservations. He received over 30 decorations and retired at the rank of Captain (O-6).

    Dr. McIntyre has been board certified through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) since 1997. Fewer than 4% of licensed psychologists achieve this distinction. He has maintained a clinical and forensic practice throughout his federal service and has operated a full-time private practice in Tempe, Arizona since 2015. His practice provides clinical, consulting, and forensic psychological services.

    Dr. McIntyre has served as a Subject Matter Expert in the fields of Native American behavioral health, forensic psychology, suicidology, trauma, military and veteran mental health, and behavioral health program implementation.
