Dr. Ferrante is a distinguished clinician–scientist with over 100 publications, including two textbooks on pain management, membership on national and international committees on the study of pain, repeated election to The Best Doctors In America, and memberships on numerous editorial boards of academic journals. He is a former President of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. He has spent his career at prestigious institutions such as Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, and UCLA.
Dr. Ferrante’s areas of clinical interests include the diagnosis, work-up and management of all aspects of spinal medicine (particularly low back and neck pain, and “failed-back” surgery syndrome), complex regional pain syndrome and other types of neuropathic pain, spasticity, thoracic outlet syndrome, cancer pain and other complex pain syndromes. He is expert in all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic injections, including all spinal interventional procedures, sympathetic blockade, epidural injections, as well as radiofrequency ablation, minimally invasive lumbar decompression, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, and implantation of drug delivery systems for pain and spasticity.
