Dr. Marian B. Stephens was a high school assistant principal, principal and superintendent for 27 years and has worked in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Texas, Iowa and California with over 45 years in education. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A., earned an M.A. in Adult Education and Human Resource Development and a Doctorate in Administration, Curriculum and Supervision, both from The George Washington University. She is the recipient of the Washington Post Outstanding Educator Award and The George Washington Outstanding Alumni Award. She has served as an expert witness and consultant in cases related to school finance, special education, teacher dismissal, school administration, student achievement, and all aspects of No Child Left Behind. In recent years she has specialized in cases involving sexual abuse in schools.
