Dr. McCartney is a Senior Safety Engineer and Expert Witness. Dr. McCartney holds certifications as a: Certified Safety Professional, Registered Professional Industrial Hygienist, and Certified Safety Instructor with 38 years of experience in both safety and health. Dr. McCartney is the recipient of the 2017-2022 Best’s Recommended Expert Service Providers; 2017-2022 Award Reid Elsevier-Editorial Staff; 2017 Award Reid Elsevier-Outstanding Contribution in Reviewing; 2017-2022 Award as Best Expert Witness Safety Engineering Lawyer Monthly. Dr. McCartney has held safety positions in chemical manufacturing and wood products and as a Safety Officer II with OSHA Consultation. Dr. McCartney taught at Texas A&M University-Texas Engineering Extension as Adjunct faculty and teaches the OSHA 10 and 30-hour General Industry and Construction courses as certified by the OSHA Training Institute. Prior to holding safety and health positions, Dr. McCartney worked in the oil and gas/pipeline industry for 10 years as an exploration geologist and Technical Expert in pipeline matters.
Dr. McCartney works on a day to day basis as a consultant and expert. Industries represented in her client list include: manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, electrical utilities, food processing and distribution, airport facilities, port facilities, warehousing, drilling operations (onshore and offshore domestic and international), refineries, asphalt plants, engine manufacturing, cell tower construction, bakeries, laundry plants, hospitals, water treatment plants, property management.
