Peter Crosby is a biomedical engineer with over 45 years' experience in the global medical device industry. He has served as CEO of six medical device companies (public and private) in four countries, and has served as member of the Board of Directors (including CHairman) of 13 compaies. He has brought many medical devices to the world market. He is an inventor on over 50 US patents and applications, and has managed the intellectual property of several companies.
Product experience includes implantable devices (cochlear implants, pacemakers, defibrillators, LVADs, neurostimulators), in vitro diagnostics, software, patient monitoring, imaging (ultrasound and X-ray), and others. Clinical areas of application include ophthalmology, otolaryngology, cardiology, cardiac surgery, pain management, clinical pathology and others.
Business domain experience includes capital markets, research and product development, manufacturing, quality management systems, clinical trials, regulatory approvals (espeically FDA), product market launch, sales management, intellectual property and mergers and acquisitions.
Peter has been retained as an expert in several lawsuits, and has written reports, been deposed and appeared at trial many times. Topics include patents (infringement, ownership, IPR, ITC), alleged misappropriation of intellectual property, corporate governance, product liability, contract disputes (especially "commercially reasonable efforts" in M&A agreements), and others.
