About
I am a Professor Emeritus of Cellular & Molecular Pharmacology in the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. I received a PhD in Physiology from UCLA School of Medicine and completed postdoctoral training at the Yale School of Medicine and the Physiological Laboratory in Cambridge University. I am a member of the Cardiovascular Research Institute, Graduate Program in Neuroscience and Weill Institute of Neuroscience at UCSF School of Medicine.
I consult with both plaintiff and defense in all areas of pharmacology including medication errors, adverse drug effects, drug interactions and duration of drug actions in the body. I analyze the effects of a drug and its interactions with other drugs on all major organ systems at the molecular, cell, and system levels to provide a rigorous and precise scientific determination of the cause of medical injury or death.
I evaluate each patient’s unique vulnerabilities based on medical history and genetic vulnerabilities in the context existing clinical and case studies. As a neuroscientist, I can evaluate cases involving changes in cognition, motor function, and behavior and ability to give informed consent.
