About
Raymond S. Mey’s expertise and credibility as an expert witness are derived from his unique set of skills and experience. During his 23-year tenure with the FBI, Mr. Mey served in leadership positions with the FBI Hostage Rescue Team, as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge in the FBI Salt Lake City Division, and Acting Section Chief of the FBI Counterterrorism Operational Response Section. He led the FBI’s Counterterrorism Security in support of major and special events from 1996 to 2006. This effort included leading all security and operational security support to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. He received several awards including the FBI Shield of Bravery and Medal of Merit.
Since retiring from the FBI in 2006, Mr. Mey has conducted security vulnerability assessments, risk mitigation plan development, and training for Fortune 500 companies, organizations, and countries throughout the world. In 2016, he developed and managed all security operations in support of the Copa Centenario Soccer Tournament in the United States. Currently, Mr. Mey is the Strategic Security Advisor for the Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games.
Mr. Mey’s federal criminal grand jury and trial experience as an FBI agent combined with his civil expert witness case experience allow him to contribute significantly to the successful outcome of civil litigation matters.
Mr. Mey has been a Forensic Expert with Park Dietz & Associates since 2014.
