Steven Smyth is a licensed (in NY, NJ, PA & NC) and nationally Certified Nursing Home Administrator with over 28 years industry experience. In addition, he has been providing administrative consulting since 2010 and performing expert witness services since 2021.
Mr. Smyth provides objective, credible and authoritative non-clinical expert opinion and testimony for long-term care and post-acute care matters, including nursing homes, assisted living, adult day care, hospice, and home and community-based services (HCBS). Additionally, Mr. Smyth holds several professional industry certifications (HSE, BCPA, CIFHA, CMDCP) as well as being a Fellow in both the ACHE and ACHCA.
Mr. Smyth provides consulting and testimony for matters related to standards of care, elder abuse, end-of-life, inadequate staffing, pressure ulcers, falls and injuries, and delays in treatment, risk management, quality assurance and more.
